Parineeti Chopra picks Meri Pyaari Bindu as the film that earned her the most affection: ‘It released alongside Baahubali and hence…’
Starring Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead roles, although Meri Pyaari Bindu initially flopped at the box office upon its release, the film has gained a cult following over the years.

Actor Parineeeti Chopra is gearing up to make her return to the silver screen, after almost a year, in Tinu Suresh Desai’s survival thriller film Mission Raniganj. Also starring Akshay Kumar, the movie is based on the Raniganj Coalfields collapse of 1989.
Meanwhile, Parineeti recently opened up about how she continues to receive so much love for Akshay Roy’s Meri Pyaari Bindu, despite the passing of over six years. Starring Parineeti and Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead roles, although Meri Pyaari Bindu initially flopped at the box office upon its release, the film has gained a cult following over the years.
During a recent conversation with Radio Nasha, Parineeti Chopra was asked which of her films she thought deserved more love. The actor said, “Every film gets its own life somehow. I feel, somewhere or the other, the audience will find it. I don’t think any film goes unnoticed, whether good or bad. There are some films that will not do well at the box office. But for years, people will watch it and it’ll become a cult film. On the other hand, there are films that do really well because they came at the right time, but were probably not the best piece of cinema.”

“Meri Pyaari Bindu released alongside Baahubali and hence did not get love then. But that’s the film that I get the most love for today. And that’s what matters. There are many films like this that don’t make the numbers at that time, but they always find you,” she added.
Referring to how people blindly equate actors with the characters they play and their traits, Parineeti said, “It’s crazy. After I did some small-town role, people started coming up to me and saying ‘Oh, you speak English? You know how to speak English?’ I felt that was bizarre. How would you assume that I don’t speak English?”
Meanwhile, Parineeti Chopra and politician Raghav Chadha are all set to tie the knot next weekend. As per reports, they will get married on September 24 in Udaipur.
The actor was recently spotted at the Mumbai airport in an oversized blue shirt which she paired with blue denim and white sneakers, complemented by a cap featuring the letter ‘R’, the initials of her soon-to-be-husband, Raghav.
