Param Sundari trailer: Sidharth Malhotra-Janhvi Kapoor-starrer is a fun North-meets-South rom-com drama; fans say, ‘Saiyaara and now this’

Netizens took to social media to share their excitement for Param Sundari, with many comparing it to Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s recent blockbuster romantic film Saiyaara. “Bollywoods old rom com era is back. Saiyaara and now this. looks promising,” a fan wrote. “Thank god a good romcom! Will watch,” another person commented. “Janhvi’s dialogue at the end was too funny, such a fun romantic movie after a long time. Old Bollywood is back!” a comment read.

In a statement, Janhvi Kapoor said, “Sundari is deeply personal to me. Her grace, quiet strength, and love for her roots resonate with my own South Indian heritage. Shooting in Kerala, surrounded by such beauty, I felt an emotional connection to her world that I hope the audience will feel too.”

Sidharth added, “With Param Sundari, I feel like I’m revisiting the kind of romance I grew up loving, but telling it in a way that feels fresh and relatable. Besides Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, Param Sundari also features Rajeev Khandelwal and Aakash Dahiya in key roles. The makers have already released two songs from the film’s music album – “Pardesiya” and “Bheegi Saree”. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, the movie is set to hit the big screen on August 29.
