Netizens slam Game Changer actor Kiara Advani for giving a shoutout to POCSO-accused Jani Master: ‘Tone-deaf and completely lacking morals’
Kiara Advani has been slammed by netizens for giving a shoutout to POCSO-accused choreographer Jani Master for a song in her film Game Changer.

Ram Charan and Kiara Advani starrer Game Changer has been making headlines since the day it was announced. However, Kiara was recently in the news, but not for the right reasons. After the makers released their song “Dhop” from the movie, the Kabir Singh actor shared a BTS video on social media, which did not go down well with netizens. She got slammed for giving a shoutout to Telugu choreographer Jani Master, who has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act following allegations of sexual assault by a woman.
While the initial reactions to the song were coming in, Kiara shared a throwback video of her first dance practice for the track. In the caption, she thanked everyone involved in the post. An excerpt from the post read, “I remember seeing @alwaysjani masters choreography and thinking how are we going to do this, but that’s the beauty of our job, always learning something new.” Little did she realise that she acknowledged the contribution of a POCSO-accused choreographer.

A section of people called out Kiara Advani for giving Jani Master credit in the Instagram post. A user wrote, “Tone-deaf, especially when even his national award was taken back after the uproar over granting him bail.” A comment read, “The actors seriously don’t care about anything.” “Literally. None of these so-called stars are innocent. They are all directly or indirectly involved with criminals and shady people”, wrote a social media user. Another user commented, “The so-called cream of the crop are truly built differently, they come across as tone-deaf and completely lacking morals.”
For the unversed, Jani Master was booked under the POCSO act by the Narsingi police of the Cyberabad Commissionerate in September. He was accused of raping and mentally harassing an ex-employee, who was 16 years old during that time. After being granted bail in October, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting suspended the National Film Award he had earned for the song “Megham Karukkatha” from the Tamil film Thiruchitrambalam.
Meanwhile, Game Changer, directed by Shankar, is scheduled to hit theatres on January 10, 2025. Along with Kiara Advani and Ram Charan, the movie also stars Anjali, Samuthirakani, S. J. Suryah, Srikanth, Prakash Raj and Sunil.
