Nawazuddin Siddiqui denies rumours of being cast ‘opposite’ Nicole Kidman

News portals had earlier reported that the talented actor will now be taking on Hollywood as he has signed up a movie adaptation of Saroo Brierley’s book, directed by Garth Davis. The movie was said to be starring Dev Patel, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Deepti Naval, apart from him and Nicole Kidman.

But the ‘Kick’ actor took to Twitter to deny the buzz surrounding the movie.

However, according to BollywoodHungama.com, Nawazuddin has indeed signed on the dotted line, but he won’t be featured opposite Nicole Kidman.

Garth Davis’ ‘Lion’ is a true-life story based on Saroo Brierley’s auto-biographical account of his search for his family. The main character of Saroo is is played by Dev Patel and there is a child actor who plays the younger version of Dev Patel. They are in the film throughout. The other actors including Nawazuddin, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Nicole Kidman play characters who meet Dev on his journey. Nawaz features in one episode and Nicole in another.
