MS Dhoni film turns out to be a profitable venture as it has already covered the cost of its making and that too within one week. The film got a massive global release that went way beyond 5000 screens. The film is produced by Fox Star Studios and it is a sure hit as even though they spent Rs 84 crore (not including the cost of marketing) into making the film, they also ensured that there was good ground covered even outside revenues expected from theatrical sales. So, beyond the spectacular box office returns, the film has earned money through some smart marketing initiatives.
First step in this direction was to earn revenue worth Rs 15 crore from in-film spots. In addition, they also incorporated music in the film while also pushing the film as a family affair. That also earned them a very good slot for satellite deals and brought in Rs 45 crore.
