Manish Malhotra credits Shabana Azmi for endorsing handlooms

Azmi, 64, gave a quick reply to all the praise she received from the designer. “@ManishMalhotra @LakmeFashionWk thanks Manish. We must work with Mubarakpur weavers who have slipped into oblivion. Huge potential there,” she replied.

Malhotra and Azmi’s association through the Mijwan Welfare Society goes back to 2009 when ‘Mijwan Sonnets in Fabric’ was presented for the first time.
