After being a popular host for several years, Maniesh Paul changed the spelling of his name and added an extra ‘e’. In a recent chat on his podcast, Maniesh opened up about what made him change the spelling and if it really made a difference to his life and career. Maniesh had actor Kubbra Sait as his guest and Kubbra brought up the topic since she too has added an extra ‘b’ to her name.
Maniesh recalled that he was on a flight where he ran into numerologist Sanjay Jumaani. When Sanjay invited him over after the flight, Maniesh showed a bit of reluctance. He recalled, “He said, ‘Don’t worry, I won’t ask you to change much. From what I can see, you should add an ‘e’ to your name. So either you make it Maniesh, or you make it Maneesh’, and he gave me a couple of options. And I said I like Maniesh because I felt that ‘i’ was important. So that is how this happened.”
Kubbra Sait also shared that she added an extra ‘b’ to her name after a Bengaluru based numerologist Gautam Azad asked her to do so. “This happened way before Sacred Games,” she said. “It is so interesting, after I changed my name, the energies around me (changed)…”
