Prahlad asked her how she got the watches, and she told him that the man who gave her a lift that day to Tardeo happened to be a watch trader. He opened his briefcase and showed her all the watches he had, and asked her if she wanted one. She took one for herself, but told the man that others would want one too. So she grabbed a handful of those watches and brought them to work. Prahlad was impressed, but also worried for her safety. “I said, ‘Are you shameless? Don’t you think he could have tried to take advantage of you?'” he asked her.

Prahlad continued, “She was something else. She was the maddest, wildest young lady I’ve ever met. She was amazing. There was nothing in the world that she thought that she couldn’t do. And she would get away with it. The entire office was distracted by her, because she was such as a good-looking girl.” In the same interview, he also recalled memories of a young Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra, as well as Salman Khan.

Protima Bedi passed away in a landslide, while visiting Kailash Mansarovar. Reflecting on her death, Pooja once told Indian Express, “There are so many regrets about her leaving the planet before she even turned 50. There is so much that I wish I had done with her. But she was a woman who lived life on her terms. She lived the way she wanted and she literally died the way she wanted. She always said she wanted to die out in nature and, you know, be one with nature.”
