Local wrestlers from Ludhiana gift Aamir Khan a golden gadaa

Aamir Khan has been shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Dangal’ in Ludhiana for the past few days and the actor has been spending time in the local akhadas in the city.

Aamir khan, who will play the role of a wrestler in the movie was gifted a Golden Gadaa by the local wrestlers while the actor was shooting there.

The film’s spokesperson said: “The team has brought in real local pahalwans and wrestlers for the film, and after the day’s shoot, they got together and presented a gadaa to Aamir.”

They thought gadaa was the perfect memorabilia for the actor as it is the main weapon of Lord Hanuman, who is worshipped by all the akhada wrestlers in India for his strength.

Based on legendary wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, ‘Dangal’ will release on Christmas next year.
