Actor-influencer Kusha Kapila has reacted to YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav’s comment calling her ‘sasti Kareena Kapoor.’ Kusha said that his comment was wrong because he did not have the consent of Kareena Kapoor Khan to use her name. Kusha also revealed that Elvish had extended the hand of friendship recently.

In an interview with The Lallantop, Kusha was asked about the ‘sasti Kareena Kapoor’ controversy. She said, “What does this mean? Kareena Kapoor has not consented for this, first ask her, she is the begum. How can you use her name anywhere? It’s wrong.” The actor then laughed and said,Aapne meme nahi dekha, ‘Ye Elvish bhai ke aage koi nahi bol sakta’ (Haven’t you seen the meme, ‘No one has the right to say anything in front of Elvish).”

Kusha added, Unhone dosti ka haath badhaya hai meri taraf (He has extended a hand of friendship) The actor said that while promoting a recent show, her male co-stars met Elvish and he told them, “Kusha ne abhi tak block kiya hai mujhe Instagram pe (Kusha has still blocked me on Instagram).”

The YouTube vs TikTok debate, which started with playful roasts during the pandemic, turned into a bitter online feud between creators and their fans. Elvish and Lakshay Chaudhary criticised some female influencers, including Kusha Kapila. However, Kusha responded thoughtfully, discussing the misogynistic tone of their comments and acknowledging her own past mistake of generalising all men in an unroast video.

Kusha also opened up about being rejected at auditions. She said, “I cannot go to auditions as ‘Kusha Kapila the digital creator’. I go, they take you to a room and make you do scenes. You have to even give your information and I have always given my intro in every audition. I cannot say ‘check my Instagram.’ And I have been rejected a lot and I have given a lot of auditions. I did not give any audition for my first film Ghost Stories.”

On the work front, Kusha was recently seen in the film Thank You For Coming.
