Kusha Kapila, her mom open up about family facing ‘difficult time’ after her divorce: ‘An aunty asked me at the temple…’

“It was tough, but it’s okay. Vohi baat hai, ‘Kuch toh log kahenge, unka kaam hai kehna’ (People will say what they want, we shouldn’t care). After a while, everyone forgot about it. Now, no one says anything, everyone appreciates the work. There are no negative rumours now, it’s only about how much you are growing and doing good work,” expressed Rita.

The influencer-actor was afraid how it would impact her mother. She said, “At that time, I was worried that my mom’s social life would take a backseat, please don’t do this.” Following which her mom continued, “When this incident happened and when I used to visit the temple, I started going a bit earlier than usual, so that no one spots me or asks anything. Then, your father once said, ‘Tu kyu darrti hai? Koi kuch nahi poochega terse’ (Why are you scared? No one will ask anything)’. However, one aunty asked something related to this at the temple one day. I was a little shaky during my way home and started crying.”

She further added, “Your dad sat and explained to me that it is not a big deal, it is life. ‘Ups and downs will keep coming, you don’t need to feel so much’. He called all my relatives and told them that no one should bother me about this. Then, no one asked me anything ever again. Unn aunty ko bhi kisi ne jaake boldiya, ‘Aap mandir mai yeh sab baatein karne jaate ho?’ (Someone even mocked that aunty for creating gossip at the temple) She even apologised to me after that.” Kusha started laughing instantly after listening to the incident.

Kusha Kapila and Zorawar Ahluwalia got divorced last year, after dating for a few years and marrying in 2017. The duo announced their separation after a news publication threatened them to leak the story unless they confirmed or denied it in two days. On the work front, she was last seen in the web series Dehati Ladke.
