Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron director Kundan Shah passes away
Director Kundan Shah, best known for films like 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron' (1983), 'Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa' (1993) and TV shows like 'Nukkad' (1986) and 'Wagle Ki Duniya' (1988), passed away on Saturday morning following a heart attack.

Bollywood director Kundan Shah passed away at his residence on Saturday morning following a heart attack. He was 69.
Kundan Shah was known for films like ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron’ (1983), ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ (1993) and TV shows like ‘Nukkad’ (1986) and ‘Wagle Ki Duniya’ (1988). His last film ‘P se PM Tak’ released in 2014.
His daughter confirmed the news. More details are awaited on the same.
Kundan Shah studied at the Film and Television Insitute of India, Pune and along with his peers, gave Hindi cinema one of its best satirical comedies. ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron’ was his first film as a director and is still considered as one of the classics of Hindi cinema. He even won the National Award for Best First Film of a Director for the same. In his later years, Shah directed films like ‘Kya Kehna’ (2000) and ‘Dil Hai Tumhara’ (2002).
