Actor-comedian Krushna Abhishek and his superstar uncle Govinda have not been on good terms for several years. However, Krushna wants to make amends as his sister Aarti is getting married, and he wants the Coolie No 1 star to be part of the wedding. In an interview with DNA India, when asked if he would invite Govinda for Aarti’s wedding, Krushna said, “Arre sabse pehla invite unko he jaayega kya baat kar rahe ho (what are you talking about, the first invitation will go to him). He’s my mama. We have had a few disagreements that are a separate issue, but the first wedding card will go to him and he will definitely attend the wedding.” In October 2023, Krushna had shared an old video of himself dancing with Govinda, expressing the intent of sorting the long-standing issues between the two. He had captioned the video, “Isse better video nahi ho sakta. (There can’t be a better video than this) Stage on fire. Govinda and Krushna Abhishek’s feud started way back in 2016 when the popular actor was making a comeback with Jagga Jasoos and promoted the film on The Kapil Sharma Show, the rival show of Abhishek’s show Comedy Nights Live. Krushna expressed his disappointment over his uncle not choosing his show to promote the film. During another show., Krushna made a remark saying, “Govinda ko mama rakha hai (Have kept Govinda as my uncle)”, which did not go down well with Govinda. He shared how the comment had upset him and he called Krushna home to reprimand him.
