Veteran actors Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher made a rare red carpet appearance together at the premiere of Tanvi The Great, which Kher has directed. Last evening, dressed in a red salwar suit, Kirron was seen walking holding Anupam Kher’s hand at the event. While the fans were happy to see the duo together after a really long time, a few were also left worried about Kirron’s health. Kirron’s son Sikander Kher was also seen along with them.

Many fans were pleasantly surprised to see Kirron Kher last night; she was diagnosed with cancer some years ago. She had her radiant smile on her face, which fans were delighted to see on social media. The grand premiere of the film was hosted at Mumbai’s Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre.

As she posed with Anupam Kher for photos, he held her hand tightly. The veteran actor too looked dapper in a tuxedo.

Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher were best friends for over a decade before they tied the knot in 1985. In recent interview, Anupam opened up about their marriage and evolving relationship. “It’s not like I have the best marriage in the world,” he told Raj Shamani, adding, “Exhaustion is a part of any relationship. At some stage, that so-called fire may disappear. But memories will remain, and your intention to work on the relationship will remain. That is what has remained in my relationship. I know I have hurt her sometimes, but what I have kept alive is my respect for her, my compassion, and my togetherness of emotion.”

He also spoke about feeling the void of not having his own biological child, and raising Kirron’s son Sikander as his own. He said, “So it didn’t happen at first. Kirron could not conceive it and then once she conceived, she had to.. sort of… it was not growing in the right manner. Sikander is good for me. He was 4 when he came into my life, when I married Kirron so I never felt anything missing.”
