Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra welcome a baby girl

Sidharth and Kiara, who tied the knot in February 2023 in a private ceremony at Suryagarh Palace, Jaisalmer, had announced they were expecting their first child in an Instagram post earlier this year. The photo showed them holding a pair of baby socks, captioned, “The greatest gift of our lives… Coming soon.” The baby’s arrival comes just days after Kiara was spotted leaving a clinic, accompanied by her parents, Genevieve and Jagdeep Advani, and husband, Sidharth. The family was seen dodging the paparazzi under an umbrella. Reports suggest the baby was due in August. Since the pregnancy reveal, both Sidharth and Kiara have mostly stayed out of the spotlight, with the new mom making one head-turning appearance at the annual haute couture gala in Manhattan, wearing Gaurav Gupta couture in a nod to motherhood.

Talking about their love story, Sidharth’s co-star Himanshu Malhotra had exclusively told SCREEN, “We didn’t know much about their love story, but we could sense it blooming. I think it was Palanpur where we saw both of them together. That’s where the funeral sequence was shot. That was the only time we saw Kiara, because after that we moved to Kargil. I think they must have just started then. We met them, took pictures, and all of us sat together. I think the spark must just have started over there, probably where they shot the Chandigarh part. It must have escalated there.”

Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra dating timeline

Both Kiara and Sidharth were linked time to time ever since the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 star appeared in Lust Stories in 2018. In 2019, they sparked dating rumours when pictures of the duo vacationing in South Africa surfaced. Although both shared separate photographs, the similar background raised eyebrows. In 2020, the speculations surrounding their relationship grew even more, but both of them remained tight-lipped. It was in 2021 when their off-screen chemistry spilled on-screen after they starred together in Shershaah as Captain Vikram Batra and Dimple Cheema. In 2022, both actors dropped a subtle confirmation on Koffee With Karan. In February 2023, the duo got married in a private ceremony limited to close friends and family. Sharing their photos online, they wrote, “Ab humari permanent booking hogayi hai. We seek your blessings and love on our journey ahead.”

Many paparazzi pages have also confirmed the news, and congratulatory messages for the new parents have started pouring in. On the work front, Kiara Advani will be next seen in War 2, which releases on Independence Day this year. Sidharth will be seen opposite Jhanvi Kapoor in Param Sundari, he also has Ekta Kapoor’s VVAN: Force of the Forest under way.
