Khushi Kapoor reveals Boney Kapoor took 13 suitcases of his own clothes for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar shoot: ‘He is the biggest diva’

Khushi Kapoor is all set to make her big-screen Bollywood debut with Loveyapa, opposite Junaid Khan. During the SCREEN Live event on Tuesday in New Delhi, Khushi spoke about her father, producer Boney Kapoor, and shared how, despite having two daughters in the house, it is Boney who is the “biggest diva.”

Khushi said, “He is the star of the house, in my opinion. He is bigger than all of us. He is the biggest diva, actor—everything, it’s him.” The Archies actor also recalled an amusing instance when Boney designed his own wardrobe for his small role in Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. She revealed that not only did Boney personally select his outfits, but he also took a staggering 13 suitcases filled with clothes to the set.

She said, “He played a role in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. He didn’t have many scenes in the film. He had to shoot in Delhi, and suddenly, I saw 13 large suitcases being moved from his closet. I realized he had packed his entire wardrobe for the film. He wore his own clothes on screen. When I visited him on set, he was dressed in the exact outfit he wears at home, with his boy standing next to him. I thought, ‘Is he on a movie set, or is he just chilling at home?’ He is the most relaxed and luxurious person I have ever met.”

Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan-starter Loveyapa is directed by Advait Chandan, who previously helmed Laal Singh Chaddha. It also stars Ashutosh Rana and Kiku Sharda in pivotal roles.
