Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath have opened a coffee shop, called Kap's Cafe, in Canada. The couple reposted glimpses from the cafe on social media after its packed soft launch this weekend.

Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath’s Kap’s Cafe, which opened last weekend in Surrey, a city in British Columbia, Canada, came under fire on Wednesday night, with multiple bullets hitting the cafe and neighbouring buildings. The shooting has been claimed by Harjit Singh Laddi, an alleged operative of the banned Khalistani outfit Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and one of India’s most wanted individuals, as listed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Laddi reportedly stated that the attack was carried out in retaliation for remarks allegedly made by Kapil
While no injuries were reported, the attack has triggered concern among locals and the Indian diaspora.
In addition to serving specialty coffee, Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath’s cafe, Kap’s Cafe, offers an array of desserts, including lemon pistachio cake, fudgy brownies, and croissants. Featuring a pink-and-white theme, the cafe is decorated with crystal chandeliers, artificial flowers, and baby pink sofas.
On June 6, the official Instagram handle of Kap’s Cafe shared a video of guests crowding up at the cafe. “We’re so grateful for the amazing turnout! Thank you for your patience as we do our best to seat everyone. Our cafe is currently experiencing a high volume with a big line-up. We appreciate your support during our soft launch,” it stated.
Both Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath reposted glimpses of the soft launch on their Instagram Stories, thanking friends and well-wishers for their warm messages. They also shared a congratulatory post from comedian Kiku Sharda, who wrote ‘Kya baat hai (What an achievement)’ on his Instagram Story. Kiku appears alongside Kapil on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix.
