Kangana Ranaut shares heartwarming pictures with newborn nephew: ‘He is free to go out of his house and meet the world’
Kangana Ranaut shared pictures from newborn nephew Ashwatthama's Gantrala ceremony.

It was a family day for Kangana Ranaut as she went back home to Himachal Pradesh and participated in the gantrala ceremony of her newborn nephew Ashwatthama. She explained what the traditional pooja means and shared some beautiful pictures with the baby.
Kangana, who was recently seen in the film Tejas, became the paternal aunt to baby Ashwatthama on October 19 when her brother Aksht and sister-in-law Ritu welcomed a baby boy. Posting the picture on the 13th day of the baby’s arrival, Kangana explained in the caption, “In Himachal we have a tradition of Gantrala, a small Pooja hosted by the family on the thirteenth day of the child’s birth. It is Ashwatthama’s Gantrala today now he is free to go out of his house and meet the world.”

Kangana also posted some candid pictures with her nephew in which her sister Rangoli is also seen.



Kangana’s latest film Tejas released on October 27. The film failed to take off at the box office and got a weak opening of Rs 1.25 cr. The film, in which Kangana plays the role of a fighter plane pilot, is struggling to pull the audience, resulting in the cancellation of screenings.
As per the latest reports, on the fifth day of the release, Tejas’s collection stands at Rs 4.50 crore.
Kangana’s next film is also her directorial titled Emergency. The movie was scheduled to be released this year but has been postponed. Kangana, who plays the role of India’s former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, announced that her hectic schedule has resulted in the delay of the film and a new date will be announced soon.
