Kangana Ranaut has earned a reputation for voicing her unfiltered opinions about the Hindi film industry and its biggest stars. Recently, Kangana opened up about her bond with Salman Khan, describing him as a "good friend". She also shared that, despite multiple opportunities for collaboration with the Dabangg actor, none of them have materialised so far. However, Kangana admitted that the possibility of working with him in the future remains open. Speaking to News18, Kangana said, "Salman is a good friend of mine, and we’ve had many opportunities where we could work together. But, you know, let’s see. Somehow it never came together." In an earlier interaction with Siddharth Kannan, Kangana Ranaut revealed that Salman Khan had offered her prominent roles in films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan, but she turned them down. She explained, “Salman offered me a role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, I was like, ‘Yeh kya role diya hai? (What is this role?).' He then approached me for Sultan. I didn’t take that up. He was like ‘What more do I offer to you now?'” Kangana has emphasised that though she rejected roles offered by Salman, the actor has always been kind to her. “Salman is so kind. He keeps talking to me. He is even excited to watch Emergency. We have a common friend, he sent him and was like ‘You go see what film she has made.’ He called me and said, ‘It’s a nice film.’ I was like, ‘So you have the news, but you haven’t watched it yourself.’ This is the kind of bonding we share,” she added. Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film, Emergency, is slated for a theatrical release on January 17. The movie, which she has directed and produced, features her in the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
