Jolly LLB 3 box office collection day 3: Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi’s courtroom comedy crosses Rs 50 cr, 8th highest first weekend earner of 2025
Jolly LLB 3 box office collection day 3: Subhash Kapoor's threequel, starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, scores an opening weekend better than the previous two instalments, but lower than Kumar's last release, Housefull 5.

Subhash Kapoor’s idea to make the two Jollys — Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar — has yielded desirable results. If the domestic box office collection over the opening weekend is to go by, Jolly LLB 3 is still racing ahead of the previous two instalments — Warsi’s Jolly LLB (2013) and Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2 (2017) — both of which were helmed by Kapoor.
On Sunday (day 3), Jolly LLB 3 earned Rs 21 crore in India, a minor improvement on its Saturday (day 2) earnings of Rs 20 crore. That was a significant jump from its opening day collection of Rs 12.50 crore on Friday. The current domestic box office collection of the film after its opening weekend is Rs 53.50 crore, as per Sacnilk.
In comparison, it’s clocked in a better domestic opening weekend collection than its predecessor, Jolly LLB 2, which earned around Rs 50 crore in its opening weekend back in 2017. The inaugural film, however, managed to make only Rs 12.35 crore in its opening weekend back in 2013. The threequel may not have gone beyond expectations, but it seems to have met the desired results.
Jolly LLB 3, however, can’t match up to Kumar’s previous release, Tarun Mansukhani’s whodunit comedy Housefull 5 earlier this year. That ensemble film earned Rs 55 crore in just its first two days, even more than what Jolly LLB 3 could make in the first three days of release. But it’s performed better than another release of Kumar this year, Karan Singh Tyagi’s period courtroom drama Kesari: Chapter 2, which collected Rs 27.50 crore in the first three days of release. Kumar’s first release of the year — Sky Force — also earned more than Jolly LLB 3 in the same period. It amassed Rs 65.25 crore in its opening weekend, Rs 10 crore more than what Jolly LLB 3 did.
With its opening weekend, Jolly LLB 3 has surpassed several other releases of the year, including Sonu Sood’s Fateh (Rs 18.87 crore), Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency (Rs 20.48 crore), Shahid Kapoor-starrer Deva (Rs 33.97 crore), Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravi Kumar (Rs 13.78 crore), John Abraham’s The Diplomat (Rs 40.73 crore), Kajol-starrer Maa (Rs 38.63 crore), Rajummar Rao-starrer Maalik (Rs 26.36 crore), Siddhant Chaturvedi-starrer Dhadak 2 (Rs 24.24 crore), and Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2 (Rs 47.15 crore).
The next targets of Jolly LLB 3 are Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer romantic comedy Param Sundari (Rs 54.66 crore) and Anurag Basu’s musical romance Metro… In Dino (Rs 56.30 crore). While Jolly LLB 3 is leaps and bounds ahead of the other Hindi release of the week — Anurag Kashyap’s Nishaanchi (Rs 85 lakh) — it has a good two weeks to add to its box office collection before the October 2 releases.
Jolly LLB 3 revolves around the issue of farmer suicides. Besides Kumar and Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, and Amrita Rao also reprise their parts from the previous instalments. Also starring Seema Biswas, it’s produced by Star Studio18.
