Jimmy Shergill had a short but impactful role in Rajkumar Hirani's 2003 hit Munna Bhai MBBS. The actor essayed the role of a cancer patient in the film who wants to live the last few days of his life to the fullest. The film's song "Dekhle Aankhon Mein Aankhien Daal" was picturised on him, and while many thought the actor was entirely in his character, looking all sick, he recently revealed the look came from him waking up from deep sleep just before the shot. Recalling his days of working on the Sanjay Dutt starrer, Jimmy told Bollywood Hungama that while shooting for Munna Bhai MBBS, he was also working on another film titled Agnipankh. He narrated, "In the daytime, I was shooting for a film called Agnipankh at the airbase in Pune and after the sun went down, I used to pack up from there and reach Film City in Mumbai where Munna Bhai's set was put. When these guys were setting up the lights, I would wear the hospital clothes and would sleep on that bed because I knew I would have to shoot the entire night." The actor shared that he was woken up only after the shot was ready, as he didn't have to spend time on the makeup. "They would wake me up when the shot was ready. Since I had to look sick, there was no stress that after waking up, I have to sit for makeup. Logon ko aisa lag raha tha ki 'waah kya character mein hai' (People thought I was completely immersed in my character), but I was actually sleeping. This continued for a few days," revealed Jimmy.
