Jigra box office collection day 4: Alia Bhatt-starrer sees massive 70 percent drop on Monday, earns Rs 1.5 cr

With nett figures slipping to Rs 1.5 cr, the best hope of Jigra is to now at best maintain the collections throughout the week, otherwise the film might start recording collections in lakhs in the next few days, bringing its box office run to an end sooner than expected at the box office.

If Jigra keeps performing at this rate, it can enter its second weekend with the hope to record a spike in collections, which would be its last chance to add few more crores to its lifetime total. The film is likely to wrap over Rs 30 cr mark, which will be a disastrous result for a big film headlined by a star of Alia’s stature.

At the box office, Jigra clashed with Rajkummar Rao-Triptii Dimri-starrer Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, but it hardly dented the film as both the movies opened to low collections. While the latter received negative reviews, Jigra saw mixed response, which came in the way of the film recording the box office gains that it desperately needed to.

Alia Bhatt will be next seen in Yash Raj Films’ Alpha, which is part of their spy universe. The film co-star Sharvari and will be seen hitting the big screens next December.
