Jaya Bachchan gives witty response to memes targeting her: ‘I provide meals to…’
In the first episode of What The Hell Navya Season 2, Jaya Bachchan addressed memes that target her and expressed that they can do a better job.

The inaugural episode of Navya Naveli Nanda‘s podcast What The Hell Navya Season 2 has been released, featuring candid conversations with her mother Shweta Bachchan and grandmother Jaya Bachchan. The show provides an unfiltered platform for the women of the Bachchan family to discuss a range of topics. In the first episode, they delved into various stereotypes associated with women. Jaya also addressed memes targeting her during the conversation.
At the start of the episode, Navya explained the concept of a ‘side hustle’ to Jaya, saying, “It’s something that you do after your 9 to 5 job.” Shweta joined in, acknowledging Navya’s internet popularity, saying, “You are a YouTube sensation, you are an internet sensation, you are a meme generator…these are legit jobs these days, mama.” Jaya responded wittily, saying, “I provide meals to people who make my memes.”
The discussion then shifted to the viral meme culture around Jaya Bachchan, with Navya Naveli introducing the term “Jaya-ing,” defined as expressing oneself without caring about opinions. When asked how she feels about being a pop culture phenomenon, Jaya said, “I don’t mind, but the people who are doing these memes are so bad. They should do it properly.” Navya suggested she should teach them, but Jaya disagreed.
Beyond her podcast, Navya Naveli Nanda, who is the granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, wears multiple hats, serving as an entrepreneur and running Project Naveli — an initiative aimed at addressing gender disparity in India.
