Jawan box office collection Day 39: Shah Rukh Khan-starrer again shows a surge, inches close to Rs 650 mark in India
Jawan box office collection Day 39: The Shah Rukh Khan film minted Rs 2.10 crore on its sixth Sunday, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 635.84 crore.

The audience expect a film to slow down in its sixth week, but not Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. On National Cinema Day (October 13), the movie, which had been earning lakhs for a few days, surged by collecting a staggering Rs 4.79 crore. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Jawan maintained its winning streak throughout the sixth weekend, amassing Rs 1.71 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.10 crore on Sunday, bringing its total domestic earnings to Rs 635.84 crore.
This success is not limited to the domestic market alone, as the film has also garnered an impressive Rs 1132.2 crore on a global scale. With the ongoing festival season, including Durga Puja, Navratri, and Dussehra, Jawan is expected to witness a further boost in its collections. Additionally, multiplex owners might consider reducing ticket prices in light of the festivities, potentially contributing to the film’s rising box office numbers.
Despite facing competition from recent releases, none of them can match the dominance of Jawan. For instance, Akshay Kumar’s Mission Raniganj managed to earn Rs 2.75 crore on its second Sunday, reaching a total collection of Rs 27.93 crore. The multi-starrer Fukrey 3 secured Rs 2.30 crore on its third Sunday, accumulating a total of Rs 90.64 crore.
During a previous interaction with the media at Jawan’s success celebration, Shah Rukh Khan explained the significance of the term Jawan. He said, “Jawan in emotion, Jawan is an Indian soldier, Jawan is an Indian mother, Jawan is an Indian girl, Jawan is an Indian vigilante. And you have to understand that Jawan, many times, is very weak because he is all of us. And many times, he is ready for a fight. Jawan, is many times, wrong, but very-many times, he is also right. Jawan, sometimes, will live in the darkness, sometimes, Jawan will be the one who will be emitting the light. And finally, all of us, and every Indian is ‘Jawan’, who is upright. Please remember that.”
Directed by Atlee, the film also features Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in prominent roles.
