Jawan box office collection day 33: Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster takes nearly Rs 100 crore lead over Pathaan
Jawan box office collection day 33: Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster film is increasing its lead as the top Bollywood movie of all time. Globally, the film has grossed nearly Rs 1120 crore.

The blockbuster action drama Jawan is somehow still earning more than Rs 1 crore a day, even though it has been in theatres for over a month and has faced multiple rounds of competition. On day 33 of release, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer is estimated to have made Rs 1.05 crore across all languages in India, although it’s almost entirely playing in Hindi at this point.
On its fifth weekend, Jawan added Rs 6 crore to its record-breaking tally, which stands at Rs 625 crore, including Monday’s Rs 1 crore. Jawan is the only Hindi movie to have passed the Rs 600 crore mark, having already established itself as the top Bollywood movie in history. All that remains to be seen now is if it will be able to stretch the gap between itself and Pathaan to Rs 100 crore. Pathaan, which was released earlier this year, emerged as the biggest Hindi movie of all time in India with Rs 543 crore, only to be overtaken by Jawan.
Directed by Atlee, the film was designed for pan-India success, although it was only able to generate around Rs 60 crore from the Tamil and Telugu versions. The movie also featured Tamil stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles. Jawan broke numerous records through the course of its run, which include the biggest opening day, opening weekend and opening week for a Hindi-language film. It also became the fastest Hindi movie to pass significant box office milestones.
Globally, Jawan is currently the fifth-biggest Indian film ever, with a total gross of Rs 1117 crore. It trails KGF: Chapter 2, RRR, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Dangal. Shah Rukh emerged after a nearly five-year long sabbatical from acting with Pathaan, and built on that film’s momentum with Jawan. It remains to be seen if he is able to continue the streak with Dunki, which is due out around Christmas. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film is expected to be a change of pace from the big-budget action of Pathaan and Jawan.
