After being relentless at the box office, Shah Rukh Khan‘s Jawan witnessed a dip in its earnings on Friday. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Atlee directorial made Rs 7 crore (nett) on its 16th day in theatres, taking the film’s total collection to Rs 532.93 crore nett.

Even after two weeks in cinemas, Jawan continues to lure cine-goers to cinema halls. This week, there are two new films that have been released in cinema halls — Vicky Kaushal‘s The Great Indian Family which, according to early estimates made Rs 1.40 crore, and Shilpa Shetty’s Sukhee, which made Rs 50 lakh on the opening day. However, Jawan is expected to remain unaffected by the two films and continue its mega run at the box office.

According to Red Chillies, the film has made Rs 937. 61 crore (worldwide gross) and it looks like it will make over Rs 1000 crore by Sunday. Jawan is on the verge of breaking Pathaan’s record at the box office. After releasing in January, Pathaan made Rs 543.05 crore nett in India. Jawan is just Rs 10.12 crore short of breaking that record. The film has already overtaken Gadar 2’s collections, which was the second highest grosser of the year so far.

Next week, Jawan will face some competition from The Vaccine War and Fukrey 3, but until then, the film has another clear week at the cinemas.

Basking in the success of his second film this year, Shah Rukh Khan hosted an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on X on Friday to interact with his fans. They got their several questions about the film answered. However, when one of his fans asked him where would he host Jawan’s success bash after it crosses the Rs 1000 crore mark at the box office, SRK replied, “Pathaan ke ghr mein aur kahaan (At Pathaan’s home, where else)!!! #Jawan.”

Jawan is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film was released worldwide in theatres on September 7, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, and turned out to be the biggest success in Shah Rukh’s thirty-year career.
