Ever since the makers released the prevue of Atlee Kumar’s Jawan, starring Bollywood’s Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role, cinephiles have been brimming with excitement as the movie seems to have all the elements of a thrilling actioner. Now, 45 days ahead of the global premiere of the film, Team Jawan has unveiled the first look poster of Vijay Sethupathi, featuring a compelling tagline that goes "The dealer. of death". View this post on Instagram A post shared by Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) Taking to social media to share the poster, featuring a stylish close-up of Sethupathi in the background, complemented by a smaller full-sized image of the actor in the foreground, Shah Rukh Khan wrote: "There's no stopping him. or is there? Watch out!" Drenched in a blue hue, the poster has Sethupathi, who is playing the antagonist in Jawan, donning oval sunglasses and sporting a sly grin on the edge of his lips, resembling the classic demeanour of other villains preparing to execute something sinister. The 172-second prevue that the makers released last month had Sethupathi demonstrating his exceptional skills in action sequences, underlining that he is a worthy opponent for the SRK himself. Jawan marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh and Atlee, known for Tamil movies such as Theri, Mersal and Bigil. Apart from SRK and Sethupathi, the film features Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles. While Nayanthara takes on the female lead role, Deepika Padukone has also made a cameo appearance in the actioner. Bankrolled by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, Jawan's soundtrack and background score have been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. While GK Vishnu has handled the cinematography, the film's editing has been done by Ruben. Made with an enormous budget of over Rs 200 crore, Jawan is all set to grace the screens across the globe on September 7, 2023.
