Actor Jaideep Ahlawat has kept his personal life away from the limelight. The actor has been married to Jyoti Hooda for 16 years. Jyoti was Jaideep’s junior at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), but their relationship began in Haryana, even before they got admission to FTII. Recently, Jaideep, who appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show, was asked about how he proposed to his wife.

During the interaction, Kapil asked if his wife found his proposal genuine or thought he was just acting really well. Speaking about the same, Jaideep quipped, “Do you think a Jaat boy like me would know the art of proposing?” Vijay Varma seized the moment and joked, “I think he would have taken a ghee carton to her to propose.”

Jaideep Ahlawat agreed with Vijay Varma and said, “Yeah that’s pretty close. I told her, ‘There won’t be any shortage of milk and ghee in the house. Now the choice is yours.'”

After struggling for years in the film industry, Jaideep Ahlawat has finally made a name for himself. The actor made his debut with a small role in the 2010 film Aakrosh. He became a star after the release of the show Paatal Lok in 2020. Since then, Jaideep has been a part of various high-profile projects like Jaane Jaan, Maharaj, Jewel Thief, and more. Jaideep’s hard work paid off after years of struggle. He recently bought two luxurious apartments worth R 20 crore in the posh area of Andheri West, Mumbai, in the residential project – Poorna Apartments.

Ahlawat appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show along with Vijay Varma, Jitendra Kumar, and Pratik Gandhi. Apart from Jaideep, Pratik also spoke about his married life and explained that since he and his wife both come from a theatre background, even during fights they make sure to speak with clarity because of years of training as theatre actors. “Even if you fumble during a fight, the other one will ask you to repeat it with clarity.”
