Himesh Reshammiya’s father, Vipin Reshammiya's last rites took place in Mumbai today. Iulia Vantur, Farah Khan, Iulia Vantur, and Ramesh Taurani attended his funeral.

Himesh Reshammiya‘s father and music director Vipin Reshammiya passed away on Wednesday night in Mumbai. Friends and colleagues of composer-actor Himesh Reshammiya were seen attending the last rites of his dad, which took place in Mumbai’s Juhu this morning.

Farah Khan, Shaan, Atul Agnihotri, Iulia Vantur, and Ramesh Taurani were among those who came to pay last respect.

Vipin was suffering from breathing issues and age-related health issues. He was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai where he breathed his last.

Vanita Thapar, a close friend of the Reshammiya family, confirmed the news of Vipin Reshammiya’s demise to indianexpress.com. She shared that he passed away at 8:30 pm on September 18.

Vipin Reshammiya played an instrumental role in nurturing his son Himesh Reshammiya’s career from an early age. A composer himself, he was Himesh’s mentor and guide.

Vipin introduced son Himesh to actor Salman Khan in the 1990s. This started a long association between Himesh and Salman that started with a couple of songs in Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya and went on to making music for films like Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye, Tere Naam, among many others.
