Once one of the brightest stars of 90s Bollywood, Juhi Chawla has now quietly emerged as the richest Bollywood actress in India. A former top-paid star who hasn’t appeared in a film in the last two years, Juhi today rests on a diversified empire of business ventures, real estate, and strategic investments—amassing a staggering net worth of Rs 7,790 crore. According to the Hurun India Rich List 2025, Juhi Chawla and family witnessed a 69% jump in their wealth compared to last year, propelling them to the top among female actors. A major portion of her earnings comes from Knight Riders Sports, making her one of the most financially successful film stars outside of cinema. She is second only to Shah Rukh Khan, the richest Indian actor with a fortune of Rs 12,490 crore. Following her in the rankings are Hrithik Roshan at Rs 2,160 crore, Karan Johar at Rs 1,880 crore, and Amitabh Bachchan at Rs 1,630 crore. The bulk of Juhi’s fortune comes from her ownership stake in the Kolkata Knight Riders, one of the most valuable IPL franchises. She co-owns KKR with her longtime friend and co-star Shah Rukh Khan and her husband Jay Mehta, through their respective companies—Red Chillies Entertainment and the Mehta Group. KKR’s brand value skyrocketed after their title win in IPL 2024. According to Houlihan Lokey’s IPL Brand Valuation Study (June 2024), the league’s overall value rose to Rs 1.45 lakh crore, with KKR alone valued at Rs 1,915 crore.
