Imran Khan shares BTS photos from action-thriller Luck; reveals he got his eyelashes burnt during a shot: ‘An explosion went off too close’
Imran Khan, who seems to have returned to social media after a long hiatus, shared BTS photos from his 2009 film Luck, in which he co-starred with Shruti Haasan.

Former actor Imran Khan, who mostly stayed away from the public eye and rarely shared anything on Instagram, has become active again on the social media platform. After surprising his fans with a hint about his comeback to acting, Imran, on Wednesday, shared an anecdote from the sets of his 2009 film Luck.
Imran posted a couple of BTS pictures from the sets of Luck. One of the photos had him walking with an umbrella in the middle of a burning field. Imran revealed that while shooting the scene he got his eyelashes burnt as he was shooting with real fire. Another photo has him almost hanging from an aircraft.
Along with the pictures, Imran wrote, “Speaking of Luck… I found these old pictures, and thought they would be interesting to share. Yes, that’s real fire. The umbrella helped with the sun, but not the flames. My eyelashes actually got burned off during a take, when an explosion went off too close in front of me. And yes, that’s also really me strapped to the outside of a flying Cessna.”

As Imran posted the photos, actor Akshay Oberoi commented on it saying, “I am so confused. Who is posting this stuff?! Who!!” A fan of Imran agreed with Akshay as he wrote, “That makes the two of us.” Another fan expressed their wish of seeing Imran back on screen, “We want you back soon @imrankhan ❤️.” Another comment read, “Waiting for your comeback❤️.”
Helmed by actor-director Soham Shah, Luck also starred Shruti Haasan, Danny Denzongpa, Mithun Chakraborty, Sanjay Dutt, Ravi Kishan, and Chitrashi Rawat. The action-thriller opened to a mediocre response.
Imran Khan disappeared from the public eye post appearing in the 2015 release Katti Batti, and gave multiple hints over the years about how he was not entirely happy with his showbiz life. He told NDTV, “My main struggle is to balance the personal and professional. My issue is that I need to find time for myself, and take that step back from my stardom. I am a person first who has family and friends, and this personal side of my life is of utmost importance to me.”
