I’m not a part of the Mahendra Singh Dhoni biopic: John Abraham

The 41-year-old star said he will be shooting for his upcoming movie 'Welcome Back' this new year.

Actor-producer John Abraham, who got married in January this year, says he would be working on this New Year’s eve.

The 41-year-old star said he will be shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Welcome Back’ this new year.

“I don’t have any plans for the New Year as I will be shooting for my next movie ‘Welcome Back’,” said Abraham.

‘Welcome Back’ is a sequel to the 2007 Bollywood comedy film ‘Welcome’ directed by Anees Bazmee. The film is expected to release in May next year.

The actor denied reports that he was a part of the upcoming biopic on Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

“It’s all rubbish. I don’t know who is spreading it but I am not a part of the film,” John Abraham said.

The actor was in the city to meet the children from ‘Make A Wish Foundation’ and ‘Read India’ to be a part of ‘Gift a Smile’ Christmas event for underprivileged and terminally ill children today.

“I feel really good to be a part of this event. My family is really close to the NGO ‘Make A Wish Foundation’ and I would be really happy to contribute for a good cause in future,” he said.

‘Gift a Smile’ programme was organised by Amazon India in association with Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).
