Huma Qureshi reacts to Deepika Padukone getting trolled for saying she met other people while dating Ranveer Singh: ‘Ridiculous’

Deepika Padukone, during her appearance on Koffee With Karan 8, revealed that before her marriage to Ranveer Singh, she was dating other people while also talking to him.

Actor Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s appearance in the first episode of Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan 8 received a lot of love but equal amounts of hate. Deepika was severely criticised for revealing that before marriage, while she was dating Ranveer, she was also seeing other guys. Commenting on that, actor Huma Qureshi said in a recent interview that trolls don’t know what they want.

During the podcast AfterHours with All About Eve, Huma addressed the trolling Deepika got and said, “Ab kya bol sakte hai, (what can we say) ridiculous…We are supposed to present a kind of palatable…I guess, something they are expecting. I don’t know what it is, I don’t think anyone knows what it is.”

She added, “We are in a trolling culture. Black pehna hai to troll karo, black nahi pehna hai to troll karo. (If someone is wearing black, troll, if someone is not wearing black, troll them) You know, what I mean…”

The Dedh Ishqiya actor revealed that she doesn’t waste her time reading comments about herself on the internet.

“I don’t even read it. I have no patience for it, I have nothing for it. Why should I waste 15 minutes of my life reading some loser’s deconstruction of my life choices? I am really not interested. But I feel that people who do that come from a place of being unhappy. So, I feel bad for them,” she said.

Huma will next be seen in Pooja Meri Jaan. She finished the shoot of her web series Maharani 3 in October 2023 and the series will stream soon on SonyLIV. Maharani also stars Amit Sial, Vineet Kumar, Kani Kusruti, Anuja Sathe, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya.
