Actor Hrithik Roshan, who is on tour in the US currently, attended a fan meet-and-greet event in New Jersey. Several pictures and videos from the show, hosted by Sophie Choudry, are doing rounds on social media. During the event, Hrithik opened up about feeling 'nervous' and 'afraid' ahead of his directorial debut, Krrish 4, and how his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, reacted when he found out that he was secretly auditioning for Shekhar Kapur once. The actor also revealed that he chilled with his Krrish co-star Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas while in the US. He shared, "Last night, I was with Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra watching his Broadway show, which, by the way, is brilliant. It's called The Last Five Years if you haven't seen it, you must see it. We were chatting and he actually told me that he is from New Jersey." Hrithik made his debut at the turn of the century with the blockbuster film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, but he didn't know that his father was planning on launching him. A young Hrithik took matters into his own hands, but his strategy didn't work out. He said, "My father always told me that you have to make your own life, don't expect me to make a film for you just because I am a director and you are my son. So, I grew up knowing that my dad would never compromise his work just to make a film for me. I really had to be deserving of it. There came a time when I thought I am not deserving of that. So, I would just go outside and audition. I went to my friend Daboo Ratnani, and we did a photo session. I had no money to pay him, so I said if I earn some good bucks once I become an actor, I will pay you back, he said 'Don't worry about it'." He was auditioning me for a film called Ta Ra Rum Pum Pum, which never got made, it was an amazing script. My dad found out and he called me while I was in the audition. He said, 'Hello, where are you?' I told him that I am auditioning for Shekhar Kapur's film. He said, 'What? Come back now, don't do such things'. I think my dad felt a sense of loss that somebody else is going to take his son away and make a film for him. Before that, he only thought of a film for me. I always feel great and want to pat myself on the back because I did not get an offer from the father Rakesh Roshan, I got an offer from the director Rakesh Roshan. That is something I am always going to be proud of." "I don't think it should be a problem that I am doing my job. The job is to get into the character and getting paid for it. You are paying to go into a theatre and to get some honesty and integrity. You want to watch something that entertains you. I love my job, I love being an actor and getting into a character," he said. Expressing his happiness about the love that the Krrish franchise has received, Hrithik said, "I am so full of gratitude that all of you have kept the idea of Krrish alive. Also, thanks to social media I think. I keep hearing about Jaadu and Krrish, so we are on the heels of beginning the journey of Krrish 4 now, as soon as I go back. I hope and pray that you will give it as much love as you did to the previous ones." I don't know what to say. I am afraid, I am nervous. I am back to kindergarten. There will be so many uncertainties and new things. The moments where I face fear, I will remember you all. It is going to be a new challenge." Hrithik recently made headlines with his Dallas show, when the attendees returned unhappy due to mismanagement by the organisers. Several fans took to social media to complain and express disappointment about the event.
