It’s been 14 years since the release of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara but a new ad campaign for an international destination has brought back the trio of Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol and Frahan Akhtar, and fans are here for it. A new campaign for a destination in the UAE brought back the three stars in their characters from the Zoya Akhtar directorial. The ad has many references from the film – many dialogues, props but most of the all, the attitude of the three stars as it looks like they haven’t aged a day since that trip to Spain.

As soon as the ad dropped online, fans couldn’t stop themselves from asking for a sequel of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. One fan took a reference from the film and wrote, “ZNMD 2 nahi banana is NOT FUNNY. (Not making ZNMD 2 is not funny.)”  Another fan wondered why there wasn’t a film version of this as it actually looked like a scene from the film. They wrote, “Still don’t know why there isn’t a full movie version of this 😭🙌.” Another fan of the stars pointed out that they looked exactly the same. “It’s literally like a scene from the movie. Everyone looks and sounds the same omg,” they wrote.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is one of the most popular films of its time and continues to stay just as popular among millennials. The film was the story of three friends driving across Spain and also starred Katrina Kaif, Kalki Koechlin, Naseeeruddin Shah among others. Over the years, many fans have been asking for a sequel for the film and in an earlier chat with ANI, Zoya said that they would make a sequel only if they got the right idea. “That movie meant a lot to us. So, if we find that soul for part two, we will make it. We don’t want to do it just for money. When the audience comes to watch the second part, they will have a certain expectation, and we must give it to them; otherwise, they won’t be happy,” she said.

Previously, Farhan Akhtar had announced a road trip film with three women with the title Jee Le Zaraa. Many fans saw it as the female counterpart of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Dil Chahta Hai. The film was announced with Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in lead roles in 2021 but since then, there have been no concrete updates about it.
