Meanwhile, Govinda and Sunita’s son Yashvardhan Ahuja also shared an update about the actor’s health. During a Diwali party, he talked to the paparazzi and told that his father’s stitches were removed and that he is recovering well. He also quipped that the actor would start dancing in a few weeks.

During a press conference after getting discharged, Govinda revealed that he was alone when the gun misfired in the morning while prepping to go to Kolkata. “Woh giri aur chal padi (the revolver fell and misfired). I felt a jhatka (I was shocked) and then saw… there was a fountain (of blood). I thought I should not associate this incident with anyone else and trouble them, so I shot some videos and was then rushed to Dr. Agarwal. He came with us and took me to CritiCare hospital,” he had said.

Govinda was discharged from the hospital on October 4, 2024. He had thanked all his fans and the paparazzi for their immense support and care.
