When Govinda said he might marry again because his horoscope says so: ‘I may marry the girl I get involved with but Sunita…’

In an earlier interview, Govinda said that there was an indication of another marriage in his horoscope.

Govinda was fairly new to the industry when rumours of his relationships with his co-stars were often discussed in film magazines. At the time, Govinda was a few years into his marriage with Sunita Ahuja, but, he was quite candid about his feelings towards his co-stars. In a 1990 interview, Govinda said that his horoscope had suggested that he might get married again but for that to happen, he wanted that Sunita should be prepared for it.

In an interview with Stardust, Govinda spoke about his admiration for Neelam and how he had fallen in love with her. He shared that he kept his promise of marrying Sunita only because he had given his word to her, and not because he loved her. He then said, “Tomorrow, who knows, I may get involved again, and maybe I will marry the girl I get involved with. But Sunita should be prepared for it. Only then will I feel free. And there is a second marriage in my kundali.”

He then spoke about his admiration for his other co-stars and proceeded to call Divya Bharti “sensuous”. Divya was 17 years old at the time and was starting to become a superstar in Hindi movies. He said, “Well I am a firm believer of destiny. What has to happen, will happen. Yes, I like Juhi a lot. Even Divya Bharti. Divya is a very sensuous girl. It’s difficult for a man to resist her. I know Sunita is going to be very upset with all this. But she should know that I am still resisting Divya’s charms. I haven’t given into the temptation as yet.”

Sunita and Govinda have been married for 37 years and are parents to daughter Tina and son Yashvardhan. Recently, rumours of their divorce started on social media but Govinda’s lawyer stated that Sunita had filed for a divorce six months ago and the couple was now back together.
