After Aa Gaya Hero, Govinda to attempt another comeback with Fry Day
After making his comeback earlier this year with Aa Gaya Hero, Govinda is all set to feature in another film with Dolly Ki Doli director. The film is tentatively titled Fry Day.

After a lukewarm comeback with Aa Gaya Hero, Govinda is all set to grace the silver screen again with Fry Day. Directed by Abhishek Dogra, who earlier directed Dolly Ki Doli (2015), the film will also feature actor Varun Sharma. The film is being written by Rajeev Kaul who is known for writing films like Hadh Kar Di Aapne (2000), Dulhe Raja (1998) and Ishq (1997), among many others.
Earlier in the year, Govinda had shot for his portions for Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos but his scenes were cut from the film and the actor was vocally upset about this episode. He expressed his anger over Twitter and shared, “I gave full respect to Kapoor family i did the film because he is my seniors son I was told I will get the script. I was told they will narrate the film in South Africa and I dint even charge my signing amount made no contracts. I was unwell and on drips but still I traveled to South Africa and did my shoot. There were various negative stories and negative articles only for GOVINDA and that’s how the film was remembered for 3yrs. I did my job as an actor and if the director is not happy it’s completely his call.”
The audience never got a chance to see Govinda in Basu’s film as all his portions were chopped off from the film but the response to his last release, Aa Gaya Hero, wasn’t great either.
Tentatively titled Fry Day, the film has Govinda in the titular role along with Varun Sharma who is famous for his character Choocha from the film Fukrey.
