Friday releases: Arnold Schwarzenegger back as Terminator Genisys, Arshad Warsi in ‘Guddu Rangeela’
We have two exciting releases – 'Terminator Genisys’ starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and 'Guddu Rangeela'.

We have two reasonably exciting releases this Friday – ‘Terminator Genisys’ starring the one and only, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bollywood release Subhash Kapoor’s ‘Guddu Rangeela’.
Today’s Hollywood release is sure to be a treat for action lovers. Arnold Schwarzenegger will reprise his role as the Terminator in the fifth installation of the franchise. ‘Game of Thrones’ actress Emily Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney and J.K. Simmons will also be part of the film.
‘Terminator Genisys’ centers on Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) who is sent back to 1984 by John with a mission to save John’s mother, Sarah Connor (Clarke), from a robot programmed to kill her, but what he finds on the other side is not what he expected.
“I’m old. Not obsolete,” says Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator defiantly, three decades after his humanoid cyborg assassin first stormed onto the big screen. But after an eight-year stint as California’s Governor, has Schwarzenegger, 67, still got the muscle to pull in the crowds in the role that cemented his international movie star status?
We will have to wait and watch.
Second release this week is ‘Jolly LLB’ director Subhash Kapoor’s ‘Guddu Rangeela’, which is said to be a tale that involves the issues of Khap panchayat and honour killing. However, it has been clarified that the film is not based on the shocking Manoj-Babli honour killing. The incident is said to form a backdrop of the film.

The comedy drama film brings together three actors who have never shared screen space before – Arshad Warsi, Aditi Rao Hydari and Amit Sadh. Also joining them is actor Ronit Roy who plays the antagonist Billu Pahalwan.
Said to be a comedy film with a message, it would be interesting to see if ‘Guddu Rangeela’ will strike a chord with audiences.
