Farah Khan says her husband Shirish Kunder hasn’t apologised to her in 20 years of marriage: ‘He is never wrong’

Farah Khan and her husband, editor Shirish Kunder have been married for 20 years but unlike Farah, Shirish prefers to stay away from the cameras. The two first met during Farah’s directorial debut Main Hoon Na, where Shirish was the editor and the two eventually fell in love. “I used to hate him,” Farah shared in a recent video and implied that theirs wasn’t the case of ‘love at first sight’.

Farah was a guest on Archana Puran Singh’s YouTube channel and said, “I used to hate him. For six months, I thought he is gay.” When Archana jokingly asked Farah if she still hated Shirish, she said, “No. Now, I am used to him. It’s been 20 years now.” Talking about their relationship, Farah also revealed that Shirish has a rather silent way of getting angry which “tortures” her. “Earlier, he used to get angry. And when he used to get angry, it was very annoying because a person is just keeping quiet and then they are torturing you by not talking,” she said.

As Archana asked her more questions about their relationship and wondered who is the first to apologise after a fight, Farah said, “No one says sorry.” And quickly added, “Shirish has never apologised to me in 20 years.” She then sarcastically said, “Because he is never wrong.” When Archana dug more, Farah revealed, “And then he will just be after my life. If he talks, and if I even glance at my phone, he will walk out.”

Preciously, during an appearance on Moving In With Malaika, Farah Khan said that a friend was quite nasty about her relationship with Shirish Kunder and believed that it would end in divorce. “One friend of mine when I was getting married, someone asked him, ‘Are you attending Farah’s wedding?’ He said, ‘No. But I’ll attend the second one.’ I thought that was quite b*tchy,” she said.

Farah and Shirish are parents to triplets – Czar, Diva and Anya.
