Exclusive: ‘Someone didn’t want me to work with Diljit Dosanjh ever again,’ says Oshin Brar

Oshin Brar, who was misreported as Diljit Dosanjh's wife, told us that someone conspired against her to ensure she does not work with Diljit ever again.

Actor Diljit Dosanjh is probably one of the most talked-about artistes in the industry right now. While his performance in Amar Singh Chamkila is earning him praise, a few days back the actor also made headlines for his rumored marriage. A photo of his alleged wife also surfaced online. However, later it was clarified that it was a picture of Diljit’s co-star Oshin Brar. Oshin and Diljit worked together in the 2015 film Mukhtiar Chadha. To verify the authenticity of these pictures, Indianexpress.com reached out to Oshin and she shared how someone has conspired against her to ensure she doesn’t work with Diljit ever again.

Oshin shared that these reports of her being his wife are not true, and said, “I have no clue why people thought I am his wife.” The actor went on to share that she only did her debut film and song with Diljit and since then, she has never been in touch with him. “I think someone didn’t wish me to do the movie promotions with him, even though I was the lead of the movie, and then someone didn’t want me to work with him ever again. I am still clueless about this behavior and calls,” she said.

Oshin added, “It could be because I was just 19 and did both my debut projects with him. To be honest it doesn’t really matter to me, I don’t need any fame out of it.” The actor also went on to praise her co-star Diljit Dosanjh and said, “I had such an amazing time working with him. I was only 19 and he helped me a lot during the shoot in understanding the movie character and I believe he didn’t change at all. He treated the entire cast with love and respect.”
