Esha Deol and businessman Bharat Takhtani parted ways in 2024 after 11 years of marriage. The couple, however, continues to co-parent their daughters — Radhya, 8, and Miraya, 6. In a recent interaction, Esha opened up about finding love again and also about her equation with her ex-husband. Bharat had confirmed his relationship status recently on Instagram.

Speaking to ETimes, Esha admitted that she and Bharat have kept their differences aside and are now focused on giving their daughters the best of themselves. She said, “Bharat and I are co-parenting our daughters. That’s something you chose to do because you love your kids so much.”

On the subject of her dating life, Esha revealed that she is currently “single.” However, the Dhoom actor also mentioned that she is open to falling in love again. Calling it the “most beautiful feeling and phase in a person’s life,” she said, “I will always believe in falling in love. One should keep falling in love.” Esha further shared that while love is important, it should not define a person completely. She added, “Having love and companionship in life is wonderful. However, it is not your be-all and end-all.”

In the same interview, Esha described her daughters as “filmi” and admitted that they are too young to think about joining Bollywood. For now, they are focused on their education. She revealed that her daughters love dancing to her and their grandmother Hema Malini’s songs. She said, “They enjoy dancing to my songs ‘Dhoom Machale’ and ‘Dilbara’. My elder daughter likes my mom’s song ‘Bhoot Raja Bahar Aaja’.” Esha also revealed that it was Hema Malini herself who introduced the girls to her iconic songs. Esha is daughter of actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini.

Looking back at her own journey, Esha, who made her acting debut in Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe (2002), admitted that while audiences were kinder to her during her debut, the same cannot be said for star kids today. She said, “Trolling is not right; you can’t do that to every kid born to an actor who’s making their debut. This is nonsense.”

A few weeks ago, Bharat had shared the photo with entrepreneur Meghna Lakhani Talreja and wrote, “Welcome to my family,” followed with a red heart emoji. Meghna had also shared a picture featuring Bharat, and wrote, “Our journey starts here”.
