It has been nearly three weeks since Aryan Khan’s show The Ba***ds of Bollywood premiered on Netflix. While the series is gaining traction across platforms, one unexpected highlight has taken the internet by storm, Emraan Hashmi’s cameo. From Instagram reels to tweets and WhatsApp groups, his brief appearance has quickly become a fan favorite. Capitalizing on the buzz, Netflix recently released a reel featuring a colourful graffiti mural of Emraan’s look from the show. The graffiti was titled, “Akha Bollywood ek taraf, Emraan Hashmi ek taraf (All of Bollywood on one side, Emraan Hashmi on the other)," a nod to a recurring line spoken by Raghav Juyal’s character, who is portrayed as a die-hard Emraan Hashmi fan. Emraan also took a moment to comment on the reel, writing: "The best love story I have been part of, thank you." This comment hints at the deep admiration Raghav’s character has for Emraan in the series. Those who are unaware, Raghav’s excitement reaches a peak when he meets Emraan’s character, an intimacy coordinator who appears in the third episode. The scene notably includes Raghav breaking into a rendition of “Kaho Na Kaho” from Murder, much to Emraan’s surprise. This moment has sparked a wave of fan-made reels celebrating the cameo. It wasn’t written in the script. Aryan and I were very tense about what to do when Emraan sir entered. Then Aryan suddenly said, ‘You’ll sing a song.’ We debated between Bheege Honth Tere and Kaho Na Kaho, and finally went with the latter because of its Arabic portions, which gave me more scope to perform,” he said. Emraan Hashmi was seen recently in the Telugu film They Call Him OG alongside Pawan Kalyan. He is expected to return to the big screen with the highly anticipated sequel to his cult romantic film Awarapan, which is co-written by Bilal Siddique, who also co-wrote The Ba***ds of Bollywood.
