Emraan Hashmi announces re-release of Awarapan, fans ask ‘animation hai kya?’ Watch

The shared teaser has the hit song ‘Toh Phir Aao’ playing in the background and the star can be heard saying, “Maine maut ko bahut kareeb se dekha hai; kisi aur ki zindagi ke liye marna hi meri manzil hai (I have seen death very closely; my goal is to die for someone else’s life).”

Sharing the video, the actor wrote, “Jumma Mubarak 🕊️@visheshfilms #MukeshBhatt @visheshb7 #Awarapan.”

Awarapan is a tragic love story of a hitman Shivam, who is unable to forgive himself for the death of his old lover and starts working for a gangster Malik.

The teaser post has left the film’s fans excited, and also a little confused. A fan asked in the comment section, ‘Ye re-release ho ya Awarapan 2, hum Awarapan k fans dono mein khush hain ❤️🥺.” A user did confirm that this is just the re-release of the 2007 film.

A user wrote in the comments section, “Bring it on 🔥🙌 can’t wait,” while another posted, “2007 golden year my life because Awarapan was special for me❤️🕊️.” “😍 ek baar phir se pagal hone wale hai sab… Awarapan ❤️,” wrote another fan. A user also wrote, “Dialogue hi kphi h movie nme pchne k lye 😍🕊️.”

Given the teaser was completely animated, a fan asked, “Animation hai kya?” while others wondered if it has been generated by AI. “This is toh AI,” wrote one.

For the unversed, Awarapan was not a hit at the box office but later gained popularity among the audience.

Earlier, actor Salil Acharya, who is also a part of the film, had confirmed that Awarapan (2007) is slated for re-release. The film also starred Shriya Saran and Ashish Vidyarthi.
