Diljit Dosanjh hits back at Telangana govt for censoring his songs: ‘Foreign artists allowed to do whatever they like’. Watch
Diljit Dosanjh criticised the Telangana government for censoring his songs, while international artists performing in the city face no such restrictions.

Diljit Dosanjh recently took a jab at the Telangana government after receiving a notice that prevented him from performing songs promoting alcohol, drugs, or violence during his concert in Hyderabad. In response, the singer altered the lyrics of some of his tracks. However, Diljit didn’t miss the opportunity to criticise the government for imposing such restrictions on him, while international artists who perform in the city, face no such limitations.
In a viral clip from the concert, Diljit was heard commenting, “When artists come to India from other countries, they are allowed to do whatever they like, sing whatever they want. But when an artist from your own country is singing, people have so many problems.”
He further added that some individuals weren’t pleased with the scale of his concerts. He said, “Some people cannot digest the fact that such big shows are happening, that tickets are getting sold out in two minutes… Bro, I’ve been working for many many years now. I have not become famous in a day.”

Diljit also spoke about the black marketing of concert tickets and said that this was a global problem. He pointed out that this practice is not unique to India, with similar situations occurring overseas, but reassured fans that the government is actively working to prevent such practices. “Government ispe kaam kar rahi hai (Government is working on this),” he added.
Several videos from Diljit’s Hyderabad concert, where he changed the lyrics of his songs, have gone viral on social media. For instance, in one such clip, Diljit is seen performing his hit song “Lemonade,” in which he altered the lyrics from “Tainu teri daaru ch pasand aa Lemonade” to “Tainu teri coke ch pasand aa Lemonade.” In another song 5 Taara, Diljit changed the lyrics from “5 Taara thekke utthe” to “5 Taara hotel ch.” Diljit couldn’t help but laugh at the change of lyrics.
