Dilip Kumar’s younger sister Saeeda Khan passes away

Dilip Kumar's sister Saeeda was the wife of Iqbal Khan, son of legendary film producer Mehboob Khan who backed films like Mother India and Andaaz.

Late actor Dilip Kumar‘s younger sister Saeeda Iqbal Khan passed away in Mumbai on September 23. Saeeda’s family paid homage to Saeeda on Monday.

According to family sources Saeeda suffered from a prolonged illness and died in the morning of Saturday, September 23. She breathed her last breath at her bungalow in Mehboob Studio, Bandra in Mumbai. “She will continue to live in our hearts and our most cherished blessing and our brightest light. She has blessed us with a lifetime of memories of her immeasurable courage, grace and her uniquely loving and incredible self,” her obituary reads.

Saeeda’s sons Ilham and Saqib are also a part of the Hindi film industry. Ilham is a writer, whereas Saqib is a film producer. Saeeda’s prayer meet will take place at Mehboob Studio today (September 26) between 5 and 7 pm.

Dilip Kumar had six sisters — Fauzia Khan, Sakina Khan, Taj Khan, Farida Khan, Saeeda Khan, and Akhtar Asif and five brothers Nasir Khan, Aslam Khan, Ehsaan Khan, Noor Mohammed, Ayub Sarwar. Saeeda was the wife of late Iqbal Khan, the son of legendary film producer and the founder of Mehboob Studio, Mehboob Khan. Mehboob Khan is known for backing iconic films like Mother India and Andaz. Iqbal Khan died in 2018.

Dilip Kumar passed away on July 7, 2021 at the age of 98. He died after suffering from advanced prostate cancer. The legendary actor is survived by his wife, veteran actor Saira Banu.
