Dharmendra injured at family function in Udaipur, on the road to recovery: Family source

Dharmendra hurt his leg and back while dancing at a family function in Udaipur a few days ago. He is now recuperating.

After reports of Dharmendra getting injured started doing the rounds on Wednesday evening, a source close to the Deol family has confirmed that the 88-year-old injured himself at a family function in Udaipur, Rajasthan a few days ago and is now on the road to recovery. The source also added that Dharmendra will soon get back to work.

Talking to indianexpress.com, the source said, “Dharmendra sir injured his leg some days back. There is nothing to worry about, he is in fact on the road to recovery. At this age, a person is prone to it but he is doing well, he is taking it slow. He was at a family function in Udaipur where he hurt himself. He is resting and will be back at work soon too. Would request all his fans to keep wishing well for him.”

Dharmendra was in Udaipur attending his granddaughter’s wedding along with his sons, actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Reportedly Dharmendra hurt his back and leg while dancing.

Dharmendra, who is very active on social media, and candidly interacts with his fans, but he did not share anything about his injury. However, in one of the videos that Dharmedra shared from the wedding, he was seen sipping on a drink and shaking a leg out of happiness. He had captioned the video, “On the loving 🥰 occasion of marriage 💝💝💝💝💝💝of my darling Grand daughter 🕺💃🕺💃……💝.”

On the work front he was last seen in films like Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023) and Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (2024) and web-series Taj: Divided by Blood (2023). He’ll be next seen in Ikkis and Jatt Pardesi.
