Khel Khel Mein box office collection day 7: Out of the three theatrical releases last week, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 has emerged as the clear winner. However, the John Abraham-starrer Vedaa, and Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein, were left to compete among themselves. While the box office battle between the two films has been close, the numbers have been shockingly low.

Despite having fallen short on opening day, Khel Khel Mein has been out-performing Vedaa in the last few days. On its seventh day of release at the box office, the multi-starrer directed by Mudassar Aziz collected Rs 1.04 crore. A week after its release, Khel Khel Mein’s total box office collection in India stands at Rs 18.29 crores, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.

Akshay Kumar has been having a difficult run at the box office in recent years. Just some weeks ago, his big-budget drama Sarfira bombed badly. Before that, his Bade Miyan Chote Miyan emerged as an even bigger flop. In 2023, Akshay’s Mission Raniganj and Selfiee also flopped, while OMG2 had a decent run at the box office, but featured Akshay only in an extended cameo. In the post-pandemic era, he has had over half-a-dozen flops in a row.

Khel Khel Mein also stars Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, and Pragya Jaiswal besides Akshay Kumar. Khel Khel Mein has been adapted from the 2016 Italian film Perfect Strangers.
