Model-turned actress Poonam Pandey,who has always been in the news for her publicity gimmicks,is once again in the midst of a new controversy. Poonam Pandey's bold posters from her debut Bollywood movie Nasha has angered the people of Mahim area in Mumbai. A group of protestors tore the intimate posters and set them on fire on July 20. In a similar incident,on July 19,the residents of Seemapuri in northwest Delhi too burned the posters of the bold film and further went to the local police station to complain about these posters. According to reports,Poonam Pandey is shocked to hear about the incident and has said that she is ready to apologise if the people felt offended in any way. The former Kingfisher calender girl,who aspires to be in the same league as Bollywood actresses Rekha,Madhuri Dixit and Kajol,said she has high hopes from Nasha. Besides some intimate scenes,the film has a lot to offer which will be liked by the audience,she said. According to her,she chose this film as it has given her an opportunity to exhibit her acting talent. She said people want to see her the way she looks on the screen and one should not have any problem in it. "I am doing a social service by wearing less cloths as people enjoy a lot by watching me in these dresses." The film,which marks Poonam's Bollywood debut,will hit screens on July 26. (With PTI inputs)
