Bobby Deol discusses fan theories about his character in Animal, opens up about the sequel: ‘Even if my throat is cut, I might…’
Bobby Deol is receiving a lot of praise for his appearance in Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal.

Bobby Deol had a 15-minute role in the 3-hour-20-minute film Animal, yet his fans can’t seem to stop talking about his charismatic appearance in the movie. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the Ranbir Kapoor film is currently in theatres and even since its teaser release, fans were betting big on Bobby who appeared for just one shot in that first video. Even though Bobby’s character dies at the end of the film, fans are coming up with theories that can lead to his character being resurrected in the next film, or the possibility of him starring in a spin-off.
Bobby discussed these theories in a new interview with News18 and said that if Ranbir’s character can come back after getting his heart replaced, his character could come back too. One of the fan theories suggested that Bobby might have a twin and we might see that character in the next movie. “People have already made up that he has twins in the end, and they are saying that you can have twins only when you have a twin. So they think I might have a twin. Or maybe they just bring me back. Ranbir’s heart was replaced so even if my throat is cut, maybe I’ll still come back. So all these kinds of theories are coming out,” he said.
When asked about the possibility of a spin-off, Bobby Deol said that he has not discussed it with Sandeep Reddy Vanga yet but he would love to work with the director again. Bobby shared, “I would love to work with him again and again. I love that man. He’s an amazing guy and an awesome director.”
The end of Animal teased a sequel named Animal Park where Bobby’s brother gets a plastic surgery to look like Ranbir and vows to get revenge against his brother’s killer. Not much has been revealed about the sequel yet but when Bobby was asked about it, he said that the film might take a few years. “I think it will take a few years for it to be constructed. And I don’t know which animals are going to be in it,” he said.
Bobby plays a mute character named Abrar in Animal.
